My first proper English fish and chip shop and I couldn’t be more pleased!! The chips were crispy and potatoey, fish just crispy enough, but soft and delicious cod, and I had a delicious cider to pair with it! The owner and staff were incredibly attentive and kind, and we were sat right next to the wall detailing the shops history. It is so nice to see a local and small business which survived the pandemic which seems to have always cared about the quality of their food and service. Highly recommend if you are in Greenwich!!

영국인들이 가장 존경하는 지도자, 윈스턴 처칠은 제2차 세계대전 당시 피쉬앤칩스를 훌륭한 동반자로 칭했다. 힘든 시기에 허기를 달래줬던 소울 푸드이기 때문이다.
우리나라로 치면 김치찌개나 돼지국밥 포지션이라 영국에서 피쉬앤칩스는 꼭 맛봐야 한다. 그리하여 방문한 런던 외곽인 그리니치에 위치한 최고의 피쉬앤칩스 가게다.
스탠더드와 라지 두 사이즈의 피쉬앤칩스를 팔며 대구, 볼락, 홍어, 가자미, 넙치 중 한 생선을 고르면 된다. 특정 생선을 요청하지 않으면 가장 대중적인 대구로 제공된다.
라지 사이즈의 대구 피쉬앤칩스를 주문했으며 생선을 즉시 튀겨줘서 나오는데 한 20분 정도 걸렸다. 감자튀김은 당연하고 샐러드까지 제공되니 굉장히 알찬 구성이다.
생선튀김 사이즈는 대략 20cm쯤 되는데 길이를 떠나 튀김옷이 황금빛을 띄면서 아주 노릇노릇하다. 두툼한 생선과 얇은 튀김옷 사이 공백이 별로 없는 점이 특징이다.
기름기는 쫙 빠지고 대구 살은 촉촉한 게 둘이 나눠 먹어도 될 만큼 양이 많은데도 혼자 남김없이 다 먹었다. 감자튀김은 바삭함을 떠나 감자가 포슬포슬하니 맛있었다.
생선튀김만 먹다 보면 맛이 단순해 금방 질리기에 타르타르 소스가 꼭 필요한 존재다. 타르타르 소스에 듬뿍 찍어 먹으면 생선까스 같기도 해 안 나던 밥 생각이 다 난다.
튀긴 음식은 원래 가산점을 먹고 들어가는데 근 며칠간 튀김을 너무 많이 먹은 탓에 감산점을 줘야 할 지경이었다. 그럼에도 인상 깊었던 몇 안 되는 성공적인 영국 음식

Just got cod and chips with curry sauce and mushy peas to take away. The food was so fresh and tasty, and the portions were so generous! Will be coming back again, the trip to this place is worth it!

Popped in for some chips after a long drive. Said we would sit in and got the nicest plate full of chips and salad! Wasn't even expecting to get some salad, and it was such a nice salad too, proper mix of leaf, onion, tomato and a lovely dressing. The staff were super friendly and we were so impressed! We didn't want much food on this visit, but I did notice this place had a brilliant vegan menu, which so many chippies don't bother. Was very impressed at the list of pies, scampi, fish fillet and various sausage, all veggie! Normally have to bung something in the air fryer for my veggie husband so this was really impressive!

Fantastic staff, great food.
Staying at a hotel nearby and decided to go here for some food in the evening.

I got here late on a Friday night all the way from Clapham, the seating area was already closed, however the hospitality was there. The staff were friendly and made us fresh fish which was absolutely delicious the batter was so tasty golden and crispy 😋 Lovely spot to go to for nice fish and chips.

The fish and chips were amazing. Very flaky fish and served hot and fresh. The salad and homemade tartar sauce adds a nice touch.
